Shakeel Adam of ATHENA AVIATION presented on “Alliances: More Relevant than ever” at the Terrapinn Middle East Aviation Outlook conference for airline and airport executives in Cairo.

 

At a time when airlines are looking for all additional means to gaining that competitive edge, many are looking at cooperation agreements as a source for gaining additional revenues, at a higher yield while expanding their global footprint with the lowest possible capital investment. Often, many airlines come to the conclusion that joining an alliance is the best solution.

 

We discuss many of the pitfalls that prospective and current members of alliances often face as well as strategies on how to maximise the benefits of membership.
